Altura State Bank

Altura State Bank was established on December 10, 1910, initially serving the banking needs of the community under its original name. The bank's main office was located on Main Street in Altura, Minnesota, until June 30, 1988, when it moved to a new location on Main Street in Altura. On June 10, 1996, the bank relocated its main office again to 411 Main Street N.W. in Altura, Minnesota. Over the course of its history, Altura State Bank served as a financial institution for the local population. On July 9, 2016, the bank merged with and became part of Peoples State Bank of Plainview, based in Plainview, Minnesota, marking the end of its independent operations.
