History Of Altabank
Altabank, originally established as Peoples State Bank of American Fork in 1913, underwent several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. In 1963, the institution was rebranded as Bank of American Fork. It later changed its name to People's Intermountain Bank in 2015, the same year it acquired Lewiston State Bank located in Lewiston, Utah, on September 30. Shortly thereafter, on November 13, 2017, Altabank acquired Town & Country Bank based in Saint George, Utah. On November 12, 2019, the bank officially adopted the name Altabank. The history of Altabank came to a close when it merged with Glacier Bank of Kalispell, Montana, on October 1, 2021.
