I was a regular bank customer for over 10 years. My husband of 26 yrs died 2005. Since then I sent ALL MY MONEY TO ALLY (pronounced, please, as in ally cat)
Since then my interest has totaled about $1 a year. I moved from Flag Pond to Elizabethton TN 6 yrs ago. They now call me a fraud because I MOVED. They sent 6 out of 15 CDs over 4k then stopped and kept 49 thousand bucks. I cannot get it now. Locked and loaded. I was on a police force for 5 yrs and I will bring cops with me to the bank in UT and get my money. I'm sick of their lies and subterfuges. See you soon jerks. BTW do not even bother writing to the board of directors, they ignore you like the rest.
Horrible institution, Worse customer service. I initiated a wire per their instructions on a Monday morning which they say will be sent same day if verified by a certain time. I met their requirements with several hours to spare and the funds were drawn from my savings. It is now Thursday and they cannot tell me where my money is. The wire was not sent Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or yet today. I have called eight times with no explanation as to where my funds are. They say it will go by 6pm EST, which is what they have said every day this week. As far as I am concerned they have stolen my money. I have asked them to return the money to my account and they say they cannot; but they also cannot tell me where the money is. Four days and counting.... I have withdrawn all of my funds from this banki from four separate accounts. I have filed formal complaints, but I still have no idea where my $63,000.00 is.....And nobody from this bank can offer me assistance or guidance to recover these funds.
"Beware" insanely bad customer service !!! Don't trust your money with this company, no real location, all online !!! If you have an issue, you are on your own !!!
You will be routed to somewhere in the Philippines if you try to call them. I spent 3 1/2 hours on the telephone and was hung up on 5 times. (After 30 minutes on hold, the system automatically hangs up on you).
That bank drafted $7,800. out of my bank account with another bank, and I can not get anyone on the telephone to tell me anything. The person that I did finally speak with that said they were a supervisor, told me to get an attorney.
I have been trying to transfer money out of my ally savings account since Dec. 7th. To no avail. They say they don't know who I am, even after all the evidence I sent them as per their request. They now have me locked out of my online account. Every time I call, I get a rep, and they hand me over to a so-called caseworker, who tells me they are still working on the case. I ask what do they need now? They have no answer other than working on the case. I have come to the conclusion they are milking the case. Meantime, I'm loosing money on account of their incompetence, and here it is Christmas. When I get my money, I'm through with Ally bank.
I had to file a claim for my deceased brother. When I finally got a live person on Nov 22 I was told to send documents to a PO Box. They wanted a death certificate, copy of my Driver's License and other documents sent to a PO BOX where anyone could see them. When I asked for a physical address due to the sensitvie nature of the documents they would not provide one.
Fortunately, the woman I spoke to called me back and offered to send me a secued link to upload my documents. She also gave me her extension so I could contact her directly. I thanked her and told her she surprised me and went on to explain my poor opinion of Ally Bank and how she had swayed my opinion. She thanked me for my understanding and seemed genuine when she stated she would process the documents and get back to me.
When I uploaded the docs on Nov 23 via the link provided the message stated my request would be processed in 3-5 business days. Ignoring the day of transfer and allowing for the Friday after Thanksgiving as a holiday, I waited 5 business days to Friday, Dec 2 to call for s status report. I did not get the same person I spoke to previously but the woman took my name and number and told me I would get a call back. Three (3) business days since that call and no one has called me back. This is not about unusual call volume or being overworked. This is working at providing the worse possible service imaginable.
Ally Bank is dreadful. I feel sorry for the customers who try to deal with them on a personal basis. Ally Bank goes out of its way to piss you off and treat you like garbage. I can't wait to get this claim completed and never have to deal with Ally Bank again.
This is a deposit relationship. If this is how depositors are treated I can imagine the horrendous treatment one would get if you owed them money!
Do Not Use This Bank!!! Worst bank and customer service EVER. Opened an account but was unable to fund it due to issues on Ally's end. Called in and was granted access but still not able to fund, Again issues on Ally's end. Verified with customer service that everything should be working again. The next day they closed the account for lack of funding - seriously!!! Ally knew it was having problems but made it my problem instead of fixing their system.
Waited 6 months applied to open new checking & savings account. After a week of silence/no contact I called in to check status and was told I was being denied because they couldn't confirm my identity. REALLY???? Not once was I contacted by any means for verification: phone, email, text, chat, etc... Ally still has the previous closed account information available (they confirmed & I can still log into closed account), and my auto loan information with them, which they ask you about during the opening process and you give them acct info. Then when you call customer service they ask your full name, birth date, SS number, address, phone number, mothers maiden AND then send a text with a # you have to give them before they will speak to you further BUT they ARE UNABLR TO CONFIRM MY IDENTITY TO OPEN NEW ACCOUNT - WHAT A JOKE. If this is how they act and treat potential customers - you DO NOT want to be one, I'm sure the service then goes downhill even further!!!
Horrible customer service.. Never speak to a human being. Ally doesn't want your business they just want to use your money. Im 70 years old and will be a multiple millionaire in 2023 and I will never do business with ally again.
