History Of Allied Bank
Allied Bank was established on March 4, 1902, originally under the name Bank of Mulberry. Over the course of its history, the institution underwent several significant changes and expansions. On February 1, 1997, Allied Bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. On March 7, 2002, the bank rebranded itself, adopting the name Allied Bank. Later, on April 16, 2002, Allied Bank expanded its operations by acquiring the Bank of Mansfield located in Mansfield, Arkansas. After years of operation, Allied Bank ultimately failed on September 23, 2016, and was subsequently merged with government financial assistance.
