Alliance Bank, established in 1900 as the Mondovi State Bank in Mondovi, Wisconsin, has undergone several name and structural changes throughout its history. On August 12, 1988, the institution acquired The First National Bank of Mondovi, moved its main office to 245 South Eau Claire Street in Mondovi, and changed its name to Bank of Mondovi. The bank's trust powers were modified to full status on July 26, 1988, and later limited trust powers were established on August 18, 1988. In a strategic move on January 1, 2003, the bank acquired the Bank of Buffalo located in Cochrane, Wisconsin, and subsequently changed its name to Alliance Bank on the same day.
