History Of AIG Federal Savings Bank

AIG Federal Savings Bank was established on May 15, 2000, originally under the name Aig Federal Savings Bank. The institution's main office was first located at 600 King Street, Wilmington, Delaware. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its operational structure and regulatory oversight. It relocated its main office multiple times, with notable moves occurring in 2001 to 704 King Street and then again to One Alico Plaza in March 2002. AIG Federal Savings Bank expanded its services through acquisitions, including American General Bank, FSB in August 2001 and SunAmerica Trust Company shortly thereafter. In July 2011, the bank switched its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. By December 2014, the main office was moved to 503 Carr Road, Suite 130, Wilmington, Delaware. Significant changes followed on March 31, 2023, when AIG Federal Savings Bank voluntarily relinquished its FDIC insurance, changed its primary federal regulatory agency and chartering agency to a state authority, and reclassified itself as a non-FDIC insured thrift. The bank ultimately closed voluntarily and liquidated its assets on the same day.

Good afternoon, I was going through some papers from the time of my moving from Nashville, TN. I came across a check from the AIG Federal Savings Bank for a Refund of contribution. It is dated September 2021. I see that this bank has liquidated its assets, but what happened to the funds that belonged to people's money that was not claimed. I would like to claim the amount of this check, how do I go about submitting a claim.
