The 1st National Bank of South Florida, originally established as The First National Bank of Homestead on October 24, 1932, served as a financial institution in Homestead, Florida. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes and mergers. On January 1, 1977, it acquired the First National Bank of Princeton-Naranja, marking a significant expansion. The main office was relocated to 1550 North Krome Avenue in Homestead on April 3, 1978. On June 19, 2001, it was renamed 1st National Bank of South Florida. Significant changes occurred in 2016 when the bank merged with CenterState Bank of Florida, National Association, and subsequently changed its name to CenterState Bank, National Association on June 1, 2017. The institution continued to evolve, adopting the name South State Bank, National Association on June 8, 2020, and later changing its name to SouthState Bank, National Association on November 5, 2021.
