1st Bank & Trust

1st Bank & Trust, originally established as Citizens State Bank on May 6, 1946, underwent several changes throughout its history. In 1963, the institution changed its name to First National Bank and became a national bank, regulated by The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Reserve System. On July 5, 1972, it changed its name again to First Broken Bow Bank & Trust and obtained full trust powers, later adopting the name 1st Bank & Trust on the same day. Over the years, the bank relocated its main office multiple times within Broken Bow, Oklahoma, with significant moves occurring in 1972 and again in 1997 to its final address at 710 South Park Drive. In 1987, 1st Bank & Trust expanded by acquiring Wright City State Bank in Wright City, Oklahoma. The bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System on February 16, 2000, and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve at that time. Ultimately, 1st Bank & Trust merged with FirstBank in Antlers, Oklahoma, on January 1, 2020, marking the end of its independent operations.
